Announcement - Memory Walk
2023 Final Brick Campaign
In recognition of over 55 years of softball, the Goddard Slow Pitch Softball Association installed a Memory Walk at its ball fields. The walk serves as a shrine to Goddard’s original twelve teams, for the club’s present and future Hall of Fame members, and has also provided a great way to permanently recognize past and present players, teams and officials of who have been regular participants of the GSPSA.
This walk consists of 4” x 8” and 8" x 8" memorial landscaping bricks, engraved with the names of the twelve teams recognized for having started the softball movement at Goddard, of club members previously honored in the GSPSA Hall of Fame, and donors who wished to have themselves, their teams, teammates or loved ones remembered. You or your team can be included with those remembered, but you must act now!
When a brick is sponsored, one is afforded the opportunity to create a lasting memory of the honoree, etched in history and which will become a permanent legacy of their participation in and support of the GSPSA. You have just a short window to place an order for your own personalized brick.
The club is extending a final invitation to current and past players, teams and members to remember themselves, teammates, teams or family members by purchasing individual bricks in their honor. The deadline for these final orders is June 9, 2023.
Wish to be included in this Memory Walk?
Did you miss the opportunity to be included? It’s not too late, but you must hurry. Orders are still being taken for a final shipment of Phase 2 of the campaign, but orders must be received by June 9.
The only requirement for inclusion of your brick in the walk is that the individual(s) or team(s) must have been a member of the club for at least three (3) years, whose name appeared on a team roster(s), had been a member of the board of directors, or a recognized official, a significant participant or contributor to the GSPSA.
The bricks sell for $150 for 4" x 8" bricks and $300 for 8" x 8" bricks. Want to recognize your entire team? Group orders of ten or more bricks (must be members of same team) will receive a 10% discount on the above prices.
